Trump Started Strong

     Initially it appeared that whatever little preparation Donald Trump did with his campaign staff was working, like he was reading from a teleprompter. He addressed trade and her never-ending e-mail problems. He definitely scored when he said that Hillary called TPP "the gold standard" before she was against it. PolitiFact live-fact-checking found her saying those exact words in an address over seas. He later kind of wasted his attack on her e-mails when he was answering the question from Lester Holt on why he wouldn't release his tax returns. First he said he would release his taxes after the audit is over (even though the IRS has put a statement out saying there is no reason he can't release his taxes because of the audit) and then immediately said "I've been under audit for the last 15 years" and then a moment later changed to "I'll release my taxes when Hillary releases the 33,000 deleted e-mails."

Then Trump Became Trump

     Then, drinking a lot of water, sneering, interrupting, and not being able to stand still like a kindergarten child having to go to the bathroom, it became evident that he was uncomfortable and starting to lose his composure. Once their he put the fact checkers into overdrive as his lies multiplied, and he repeated things that everyone who doesn't live completely off-the-grid now know to be absolutely false, lies. For five years after President Obama produced his long form birth certificate Donald Trump continued using the birther ridiculousness to rile up his based because let's face it, it was the birther show and the "build a wall" promise that has been his core stance since day one of his candidacy and he was still using his birther lie as late as last week. Continuing to lie about being "opposed to the Iraq war long before it started" and "strongly opposed" to it also went over like a led balloon because anyone with any kind of instrument/device that allows you to hear, or see, heard him on Howard Stern say he guesses so as to whether we should invade Iraq. Drinking more water, making faces, fidgeting, and starting to interrupt with constant "wrong," "no," "I didn't say that," and making faces, signaled that he had arrived, in his parallel universe and would no longer be able to look , or sound, presidential. 

Hillary Was Prepared

It's the American people who lose when during a debate like this the candidates don't lay out explicit plans they have to solve our problems and it was Hillary Clinton who won as far as having, and expressing, actual plans. Trump again said "you have no plan" about childcare, and again, she has had a thorough plan posted for an eternity. When she said "go to hillaryclinton.com to read it" he interjected "I do too, go to my website," he doesn't have any well thought out plans that actually have a chance of working. Like his economic plan that give the richest in the country big tax breaks, that experts say will increase the deficit from $20T to $25T and lose another 3.5 million jobs. You know, like the unpaid tax breaks to the rich that George W. Bush took over $800M from Social Security for and in addition exploded the deficit. Trump supporters aren't going anywhere because as their candidate said, he could walk down 5th Avenue and shoot someone and he wouldn't lose a single supporter. I get it, I understand, why people are angry, I'm angry, angry that all of the wealth and income is going to the top 1/10th of 1%, I'm angry that we have a Congress that obstructs everything for their own political gain, and greed, that we have infrastructure that is past deficient and we could be putting a lot of people into good paying jobs to start to rebuild that infrastructure. But Trump saying that he will fix it all doesn't mean he has any idea whatsoever that he knows how he would fix even the smallest problems. When asked about how he would deal with violence, race, and police and community relations, his answer is to implement "Stop & Frisk." Really?! Stop and Frisk in NYC had 9 million minorities stopped and frisked and only .2% of those stopped were found to be arrest-able. It was unconstitutional. And rightfully so. That is his great plan for how to change the poor relations between police and the community? 

We Need Change

We need change, we need to stop the oligarchy, we need to get money out of politics and overturn Citizen's United with a constitutional amendment. We need to start putting CEO's in real prisons, for appropriate sentences. Look at the latest where Wells Fargo CEO enticed and showed over 12,000 employees how to steal money from their own customers accounts to open accounts that they never wanted or even knew bout. The stock went up because the CEO got his directive and each customer ended up with numerous accounts, his stock options increased in value by $200M because of the fraud, and he is going to be allowed to just walk away with the bank's customers money. Oh, and don't forget, he fired 5,300 of their employees to say he took care of "the problem." We need to fire all the Tea Party Republicans, Republicans and Democrats that follow the lobbyists requests for their own benefit, and all of the obstructionists that are refusing to do their jobs that we are paying them for. Not allowing President Obama's nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court to get an up/down vote, or even as much as a hearing is preposterous, and willful neglect for the job they swore they would perform and for the American people who voted them in.Let's get out and vote on November 8, 2016 and fire the establishment, give the next President a House and Senate that will work with the President, and get American going in the right direction at breakneck speed.

Does Donald Trump REALLY Want Be President?

  The short answer is no. Yesterday in my post Trump & Clinton Continue Their Blatant Lies - But they're Really Not Good At It I expressed my thoughts about what I thought Trump's plan for the future was. It included the fact that I did not believe in any way, shape, or form, that Donald Trump, Republican Nominee for President of the United States would ever actually fulfill his duties as President of the United States should enough ignorant people allowed him to win. I didn't think he has a snowballs chance in hell but when you look at the polls you quickly realize that there are a large number of low-information, "I only watch Fox News," and/or simply stupid (not just dumb) voters in America.  

     Yesterday on Morning Joe/MSNBC, Joe Scarborough said he had lunch with someone who is very close to Trump. He confirmed that Trump does not want to actually BE President. He told Joe that Donald's "best case scenario" would be to lose the election by one-half of one percentage point so that he could say "they stole the election from me" for the rest of his life. That is consistent with my thoughts. I wrote:

     A couple months after Donald Trump declared he was running for President, someone interviewing him showed him pictures of former President George W. Bush and of President Barack Obama, they were portrayed wearing garb of the country they were visiting (separate events) and Trump was asked if he would go to other countries and wear their traditional garb. Trump's response was a very quick "NO! no, I would have someone else do that." Donald Trump Jr. was sent to vet Governor John Kasich (R-OH) as a potential running mate for Trump. He asked Governor Kasich what he thought about being the most "powerful Vice President in the history of America." Kasich responded "how would that be?" Donald replied "you would be in charge of ALL domestic and foreign policy." Kasich said "but that's everything, what would President Trump be doing?" Donald Jr. replied "making America great again."  

     Again, consistent with Trump never in a million years putting all his money in a trust, living on the President's salary of only $400,000/year, and being tied to the grueling schedule of the POTUS, it will NEVER happen!

Hillary Clinton Must Think Americans Are Complete Idiots

     Hillary Clinton, Democratic Nominee for the President of the United States continues to lie. She is again using old lies that have been totally rebuffed, contradicted, proven to be false. She knows that she is lying, she knows the American people knows she lying, and she doesn't care. In an article in The Atlantic on August 1, 2016 Ron Fournier asked a simple question; Why Can't Hillary Clinton Stop Lying?  "On Sunday, the former secretary of state told FOX News’ Chris Wallace that FBI Director James Comey cleared her of misleading the public about her rogue email server at the state department: “Director Comey said my answers were truthful, and what I’ve said is consistent with what I have told the American people, that there were decisions discussed and made to classify retroactively certain of the emails.” That’s wrong and she knows it, which makes it a lie."

     She is arrogant and counts on the American people being "low-information," gullible, uninformed, unable to seek out the truth, people who will vote for her no matter what she does, or says, because her opponent is uninformed, narcissistic, misogynistic, racist, who is hateful and losing his mind attacking a Gold Star family. While she is right about some people (Trump supporters) most Americans can see through her lies and will not vote for her.

What can the American Voter Do To Send Both Parties a Message That They Are Not Going To Stand For A Corrupt, Establishment, Two-Party System, and A Broken Election Process?

     American voters can vote for a 3rd party to show that they will vote for a 3rd party in future elections. I know, I' get these responses whenever I bring up voting for a 3rd party candidate, and here are my responses[Reprinted from August 2, post Trump & Clinton Continue Blatant Lies - But They're Really Not Good At It : 

 1) "I would but I'm afraid to because I don't want Trump to win." Response: Trump will NOT win this election, not even the Republicans want that. Their party has been hijacked by him. Even though this presidential election is the most important in decades due to the fact that anywhere from two to five U.S. Supreme Court Justices will be appointed I do not fear Trump winning. Today on Morning Joe/MSNBC Joe Scarborough said he had talked to someone very close to Trump and that friend said that Trump believes his best outcome to be beat by a half a percentage point so he Could say "the election was stolen" for the rest of his life. This falls right in with what I've believed for some time. Trump would NOT take on the duties of POTUS, he's having fun because he's a mega-narcissist and getting tremendous attention on the campaign. 2) "A third-party candidate doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning." Response: No, they don't. But if we send a message that we won't stand for a rigged two party system, AND fight injustices like the media block out of 3rd party candidates, AND that we're done putting up with the current, corrupt, disrespectful, politicians that don't represent us, but represent 1%er's and large corporations, by a noticeable percentage of voters voting for a 3rd party candidate, we CAN CHANGE FUTURE ELECTIONS! The "movement" will be moving forward and growing as the message of "we WILL vote for 3rd party candidates" is acknowledged. 

3) "Although I like a lot of what is in Dr. Jill Stein's platform, there are things I disagree with." Response: You're not going to find a candidate running that is for all the positions that you are for, in ANY party. You certainly aren't going to find everything you want in what Trump and Clinton are saying and what they will actually do. Again how can you vote for someone like Trump who yesterday said "she has no right to criticize my campaign, she couldn't even beat Bernie." George Stephanopoulos had to remind him that "she DID beat Bernie," and Trump said "barely." Really?!

4) "What can we really do to get the "movement" or "revolution" to gain traction? Response: We can get behind groups, organizations, activists, that support 3rd party candidates and help their chances for future elections i.e. Anonymous Launches Campaign to Oppose Media Blackout of Green Candidate . 
   
5)  "We only have 98 days left before the election, what can we really get done?" Response: We can do a lot. We can get a percentage of the vote to make the two current parties see that we ARE ready to vote for 3rd parties. We can support, and work towards, getting obstacles for 3rd party candidates removed, so that in a future election a 3rd party candidate will actually have a chance to win!

Voting For A 3rd Party Candidate Won't "Give Trump A Win" But It Will Change The Way Our Election Process And The 1%er Owned Media Do Business In The Future 

     It is obvious that Dr. Jill Stein doesn't have "a snowballs chance in hell" of winning the presidential election but that doesn't mean that she can't do a lot for the American people,  the broke election process we are enduring, and 3rd party candidates in the future.  The media blackout on 3rd party candidates is not even disputed. Bernie Sanders, the Democratic primary, but he did do many good things, he got many issues put into the Democratic platform, he brought many young people into the election process, he got over 8 million people to make an average donation of $27 showing that you don't need 1%er's, corporations, and special interests, to make a run for office. Should a third party candidate get a respectable number of votes it will increase efforts by many to fight the issues surrounding 3rd party candidates for future elections. Issues like the media block, donations to 3rd parties, and many other obstacles that exist today. 

Which 3rd Party Candidate Has The Best Chance of Sending The Message?
